                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 209
                   TREMONT STREET, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE OF
                   TREMONT STREET NORTHEAST OF OLIVER STREET, FROM
                   R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-5 NEIGHBORHOOD
                   COMMERCIAL ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 209 Tremont Street,
                being on the northwest line of Tremont Street
                northeast of Oliver Street.  Lot 7, block 9,
                Frazier's Addition No. 1 to Hill City, as shown by
                plat of record in plat book 5, page 24, ROHC; being
                the property described in deed book 2868, page 227,
                ROHC.  Tax Map No. 135E-F-32.
               
         from R-3 Residential Zone to C-5 Neighborhood Commercial Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:

              1.   Proposed use as antique/gift shop only.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
